2008 NATURE CAMP Dates & Rates
Kinderoos Nature Mini-Camp
 

A three day program for children who have completed Kindergarten
Registration remains open until camp is filled.

Camp runs Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 16 - 18, 9:30-11:30 am, at Osborn Park, Shelter 3.
Enrollment: 5 minimum, 20 maximum

Campers discover and learn about furry, scaly, slimy and many-legged critters living in Osborn Park.

Young Naturalist Mini-Camps
 

For children who are entering 1st through 6th grades
Registration remains open until camp is filled.

Three separate mini-camps run Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am – 12 noon. Wednesdays are field trip days; on this day parents will drop off and pick up campers at a different camp location. Campers may sign up for one or all three camp sessions. Enrollment: 5 minimum, 20 maximum

June 23-26, Castalia Quarry Rocks! – Explore glacial grooves, hike the quarry trails, leaf-print t-shirts
Wednesday – Castalia Fish Hatchery

July 14-17, Osborn Park Adventure! –Search for bugs and snakes, ride a hay wagon, make potato-print t-shirts
Wednesday – McBride Arboretum

July28-31, Edison Woods Wonders! – Hike to the sandstone ridge, search for butterflies, explore Old Woman Creek
Wednesday – Hoffman Forest Reserve

Plant Paloozza Nature Mini-Camp
 

Open to 2nd through 5th graders

For this Nature Mini-camp co-sponsored by Sandusky Rec Dept and Erie MetroParks, please
Pre-register with Sandusky Recreation Dept at 419-627-5879

July 21-23, Sandusky Greenhouse, 620 Elm St, Sandusky: Why do flowers come in different sizes, shapes and colors? Are bees and bugs really important? Campers will discover “plant-tastic” facts in a unique setting—the Sandusky Greenhouse – create a miniature garden and explore the floral magic of Washington Park!
