All dogs over 4 months old are required to have a valid MetroBark Park registration before entering the dog park. Puppies under 4 months old are prohibited from the dog park due to parvovirus.
Each registered dog receives a registration collar provided by Erie MetroParks that must be worn each visit to the dog park and for the entire visit there. Registration collars may be picked up at Osborn Park in the Frost Center Office or Maple Grove Center Office.
Due to the dog park opening in the middle of this year, registrations made in 2008 expire Dec 31, 2009. Beginning Jan 2009, annual registrations are valid Jan – Dec in the year of purchase. Dogs can be registered any time during the year, but all registrations expire on Dec 31. Registration fee is non-refundable.
Dogs must be currently licensed and vaccinated for rabies, distemper and parvovirus. Bring proof of license and vaccinations when you pick up your registration collar.
